STAND UP, URSULA
Fight for Europe - not for Trump and Big Tech
Add your name now: demand the EU stand up to Trump and Big Tech - starting with breaking up Google.
Europe is at a crossroads.
Since returning to office, Donald Trump and his Big Tech cronies have launched a full-scale pressure campaign against the EU’s digital laws.
Right now, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and the Commission are deciding whether to break up Google’s illegal adtech monopoly or cave to escalating pressure from Donald Trump and Big Tech CEOs.
This moment isn’t just about the future of one tech giant. It’s about who rules Europe:
Europeans - or Silicon Valley billionaires and the White House?
People vs Big Tech, WeMove Europe, Avaaz, and European Digital Rights (EDRi) are calling on President von der Leyen to enforce EU law and break up Google - before Europe becomes a colony of Big Tech and Trumpism.
Why now? Because they’re pushing Europe backwards
For years, the EU has set the pace in protecting people from Big Tech, passing world-first laws to defend our privacy, our economy, and our democracy.
But since Trump returned to power, he and his Big Tech cronies have launched a full-scale attack to undermine Europe’s tech laws - threatening tariffs, lobbying to rewrite protections, and bullying the Commission into backing down.
And so far… It's working.
On 19 November, the Commission revealed a major new plan - the “Digital Omnibus” - watering down enforcement of the AI Act and reopening core digital protections.
Europe’s digital laws were written to protect us. Now they risk being rewritten to protect them.
Google is the first test
In September 2025, the Commission ruled that Google illegally entrenched its advertising monopoly, controlling nearly every step of how ads are bought and sold.
- Gutted independent journalism, weakening our democracy
- Hurt European businesses, damaging our economy
- Centralised astonishing power in one US Big Tech firm, threatening our right to make our own rules
Brussels knows the only real fix is to break Google up. Google has put in its proposal to the Commission, who are considering it as we speak.
Ursula, stand up for Europe: protect our democracy and assert our sovereignty from Trump's America.
Back down, and the message is clear: Trump and Big Tech make the rules here.

Add your name: tell Ursula to stand up for Europe
President von der Leyen can still choose the right path - but only if we demand it.
Together, we can show Europeans are watching.
Together, we can defend our democracy, livelihoods and Europe’s right to make its own decisions.
Together, we can tell Ursula:
Fight for Europe - not Trump and Big Tech.
Europe can choose another path
Europeans didn’t fight for the DMA, DSA, GDPR, and AI Act just to watch them be watered down at the first sign of pressure.
And Europeans still back them.
Recent polling shows that two-thirds of people in France, Germany and Spain believe that Europe should enforce laws on Big Tech - even if it risks tensions with Trump.
We passed these laws to protect:
- Democracy
- Journalism
- Privacy
- People
Breaking up Google’s monopoly would be a bold, necessary step - a signal that Europe still leads, still defends its people, and still controls its own future.
Fight for Europe - not Trump and Big Tech.
